Multiple award winning Ghanaian dancehall and afro-dancehall music giant Stonebwoy has made Ghana proud again with a bigger win in his music journey.
During the weekend, Stonebwoy headlined his Anloga Junction UK Tour during which he filled the O2 Arena to full capacity.
At that same time, he was declared winner of Reggae, Dancehall or Ragga artist of the year at the 2021 AFRIMA which is his fourth AFRIMA award but the 3rd in that category.
To crown it all, Stonebwoy has sidelined Rocky Dawuni in raising the flag of Ghana as he grabs 3 Grammys nominations and Rocky Dawuni also received one nomination which is his second time.
Back in 2020, Stonebwoy went viral when he failed to bring home a Grammy Award but rather a citation but this year it is possible he will bag an award or two with his 3 nominations which will make him Ghana’s first Grammys winner possibly.
The Bhim Nation president was nominated for his role and contribution on 3 Grammy nominated albums which were released in the year 2021.
The first one is his feature on Etana’s 16 track Album song number 6 Proppa , the second is his feature on Sean Paul’s ‘Live N Livin’ album and the final one being ‘Royal’ by Jesse.
Luckily for Stonebwoy, all these great artworks that he featured on were nominated in the Best Reggae Album category.
Mean while, earlier this year Stonebwoy was also announced a new member of the Recording Academy which is the administrative board for the organization of the yearly Grammy Awards.
