Ghanaian musician and Ruff Town Record signee Wendy Shay has set netizens on fire with her bitter complain over the government’s contribution to the level of poverty endured by Ghanaian creative personalities.
According to the “Uber Driver” hit maker, due to some unfavorablepolicies in the country that bans creatives and especially celebrated personalities and public figures from advertising for alcohol and betting brands.
Wendy Shay also unveiled that coming 2024 she will vote for any political party that can do away with such laws because it has affected “celebrities” and their income generation sources.
Wendy made these statements twitter post she shared which had the message “Musicians are not supposed to be poor But in this country if God does not step in you’ll die poor Now we can’t even get Alcohol and Betting companies to sponsor our shows 2024 my vote will be for any party that will lift that Ban!”

This is not the first time that Wendy is calling on the government to look at some of the policies in the country since she recently commented on the price of Airtime and bundle.
Previously the Gaming commission of Ghana released a statement to ban Ghanaian public figures from advertising for betting schemes and platforms of that form since it might influence their fans negatively.
The food and drugs board authority also gave a regulative statement concerning the same thing. They ruled out that Ghanaian public figures should not advertise for alcohol and it’s related brand companies with the reason being that it will affect their following.
