Ghanaian Doctors To Separate Conjoined Twins Start Preparation Ahead Of Surgery

A group of health experts from the biggest and finest hospitals in Ghana have started rehearsing with toys ahead of the surgery to separate a set of Siamese twins who conjoined are at the head and are currently held at the Ridge Hospital.

Since it is the first time the procedure is being carried out in Ghana, intensive rehearsal has begun for the separation the set of Ghanaian Siamese twins.

It has been indicated that 135 doctors from across the length and breadth of the country will be involved in this whole procedure.

The medical exercise officially termed as ‘simulation’ is being undertaken as a necessary step ahead of the all-important surgery.

In other developments, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has fulfilled his promise to pay GHc3 million, which is the cost of surgery for the conjoined twins who went viral on social media.

Also, Young Millionaire Cheddar has donated an amount of money and an apartment at North Ridge residential area to the twins and their family while Journalist Nana Aba Anamoah together with the EIB Network donated GH¢640,000.00 to the family.
