The Ghana Private Road Transport Union of the Trade Union Congress has released their take on the increase in fuel prices which is set to be rolled out very soon.

In a video sighted by JoyMate360 on GHOneTV, Mr. Moro Abass of GPRTU expressed the unions displeasure on recent news on the increase in fuel prices due to the global in to about $80 per barrel.

The union disclosed they asked Government for a negotiation before the recent increase in transport fares in order to manage future upsurges in fuel prices but Government payed a death ear to their plea and now the fuel prices have been increased on the global market.

He explained the increase in fuel prices which is set to be rolled out in the country in few days will affect the revenue generation stream of transport operators which might result in a request by transport operators for another increase in transport fares when the new fuel prices are rolled out.
